The Youth Ministry at Northside focuses on students in grades 6-12.  We offer many groups and fun activities with them in mind.  Our goal is to gain (and keep) their interest, help them discover Jesus Christ and his heart for them and to equip them for their world.

Encounter (Grades 9-12)
Encounter is a weekly meeting for all high school students that you will not want to miss!  We meet from 7:30-8:30 p.m. for a great time and to discover more about who Jesus Christ is.  Please watch the web calendar and mailings to follow where we are meeting.  In general, we meet one month at Northside, then every other month we meet in the home of one of our students.

MainStream (Grades 6-8)
MainStream meets on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:15 at Northside.  It is a high energy evening that is a lot of fun.  It is a time to get to know other middle school students at Northside and connect with youth leaders.  Most of all, MainStream is a place to learn more about Jesus Christ and grow closer in a relationship with Him.

•Parent Resource
Interested in finding out more about the world your teen lives in?  If so, this free resource is for you!  Each month we make available a Parent Page produced by the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding for you via email (or a hard copy if you don't have access to email).  This is a quick and easy way to gain insight into new trends and influences that affect your teen and their daily life.  We really encourage you to contact Jeff Blackburn to get added to the mailing list.

•Free Music Library
Every Sunday at Encounter and MainStream students have the great opportunity to check out the most recent Christian music that is out there.  With so much "cheesy" music on the market, it can be hard to find something good to listen to, especially if you are new to the Christian music scene.  Many of the best Christian bands never get played on the radio.  This library is your chance to find the good stuff!  Just sign out the CD's of your choice, then bring them back within 2 weeks.  No cost... nothing else to do...(except tell your friends about it!). *This is a "by faith" system library so please be responsible and don't abuse it.

 Youth Ministry Missions

Guatemala  Northside works in partnership with Pastor Jacobo Castillo and his mission work in his native land of Guatemala.  Pastor Castillo created and operates Nuevo Reto, a children's home for the orphans of Guatemala City where they are given shelter, food, clothing, an opportunity for an education and most of all...love.   Pastor Castillo is also the pastor of Temple de la Gloria which the children of Nuevo Reto take a large part in serving there.  For the past 4 years the adults and youth from Northside have been traveling to Guatemala, bringing them clothing, school supplies, blankets made by our children at VBS, Bibles and most of all the love of Jesus Christ.  These mission trips are working trips.  Our team members have assisted in the actual building of the children's home and the church.  Donations from our church and school (All the Children of the World Academy), along with a new partnership with Thirst Relief International has helped to bring clean and safe drinking water to Nuevo Reto.
